An unforgettable breakfast experience

My stay at the Plain & Fancy Bed & Breakfast was magical. Rachel and Steve made every moment special, especially during breakfast. I still remember the taste of her delicious homemade cookies, a sweet welcome every evening. The hospitality felt genuine, as though I was a guest in their home rather than merely a visitor.

Leaving was the hardest part! I honestly wished I could have stayed longer to continue enjoying the warm atmosphere that permeated the house, but responsibilities called.

I recently stayed in the Deluxe Queen Room for a night. The ambiance felt cozy, and the hospitality from Rachel and Steve really stood out. I enjoyed chatting with them, making me feel like a friend rather than just a guest. Breakfast was a highlight with delicious homemade options that made my morning special. The room had great amenities like air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. I also appreciated the hot tub access after a long day of exploring. The only issue was the parking, which was a bit tight when several guests were around, but that didn't overshadow the experience at all. I would definitely recommend this place for a warm and welcoming stay!

Make sure to ask Rachel for local dining suggestions. she knows the best spots that aren't on the usual tourist maps.

Plain & Fancy is a gem! Loved the cozy Beautiful Queen Room, double shower, and scrumptious breakfasts made by Rachel. Chatting with the owners felt like hanging out with friends. Only downside was wishing we could stay longer. Can’t wait to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful Missouri State Parks nearby while staying here. It was a great place for our family, and the scenic Black River offered fun floating options perfect for our kids! Rachel's hearty breakfasts made every day feel special.
